Jesus, The Coming King
Jesus, The Almighty God of all creation, The King of Israel, our Redeemer, is coming soon again! The prophecy of the coming of Jesus will soon be fulfilled. Inspired by my dream on January 14, 2023, and upon discovering the biblical passage Revelation 14:6-7 on January 17, 2023, the painting titled 'An Angel Warns: Repent and Return To GOD' was created. This painting depicts the powerful message of repentance and the nearing second coming of Jesus, as foretold in the dream and reinforced by the Scriptures.
The Coming Judgment
And the enemy who planted the bad seed is the devil. The harvest time is the end of the age. And the workers who gather are God’s angels. (Matthew 13:39)
This verse refers to the final judgment at the return of Christ. The "harvest time" at the end of the age points to the separation of evil and righteousness, when God's angels will gather His faithful to Himself.
An Angel Warns - Call to Repentance and Worship
And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters. (Revelation 14:6-7)
There is an urgency to turn back to our Creator and Savior before it is too late. And the angel is warning the people of earth to repent and worship God as the final judgment is approaching.
He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. (1 John 5:10)
God's Attributes
"For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." (Isaiah 9:6)
"This is what the Lord says—Israel’s King and Redeemer, the Lord Almighty: I am the first and I am the last; apart from me there is no God." (Isaiah 44:6)
Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.” (John 8:58)
God's Promise of Peace
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. (John 14:27)
Our Response
Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; (Philippians 2:12)
9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Romans 10:9-10)
8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9)
